Dear Homeschooling Mama,
Some days are hard. Some days you worry that you aren’t doing “enough.” Some days you wonder if your kids are playing too much. Some days you need some homeschooling encouragement.
But, did you know that through play your kids are learning, they can do and be anything?
Don’t become frustrated by cleaning up the glitter, dirt, paper shreds <insert other mess that exists in your home> AGAIN. “Reframe the Mess.” Let the creativity sit for a while and deliberately walk around or over it.
Focus on your love for your children instead.
Don’t forget to smile. Smiling can change the day.
And make sure you are getting some self-care time.
As a homeschooling mom, I know that you are busy and it’s easy to get overwhelmed and feel burdened with the weight of this daunting task to educate your children.
Just remember that at the end of each day, each month, and each year it’s the love, the connection, and the play that your children experience that will mold them into becoming the beautiful person you want them to be. The math, science, reading, and history is important, but it’s not the end goal. A kind-hearted, generous, hard-working adult who brings hope and goodness to the world is the goal.
You are doing this every day.
