Inside: Find over 50 gift ideas for moms who sometimes just need to hide in the closet with their chocolate... and a few other items that might take the edge off a stressful day.
It's no surprise that I'm a mom who hides my chocolate. Currently, you can find a jar of Nutella in the car and a dresser drawer. There are Hershey's kisses hidden in the entertainment center and Ghirardelli squares in my desk. Sometimes I even forget where I've hidden my chocolate, so it's like a little surprise present for me when I find it.
Sometimes you need chocolate or tea or whatever your vice is, and you don’t want to share it. So you hide it. Maybe you hide it in the pantry and label it gluten-free bread-sticks, or you stash it behind the laundry basket.
Wherever you hide it, know that you are not alone. You and countless other moms out there are hiding their stash of chocolatey goodness from those darlings who drive us to eat it.
This gift guide is for you --the mom who hides her chocolate and sometimes just needs a break. Feel free to email it to your significant other or leave it open for your kids to find. Think of it like that magazine you circled when you were six and left on your parents' bed.
I didn't just come up with this list on my own. I asked a group composed of thousands of tired moms who are working hard to parent, educate, and raise their children to be responsible human beings.
Sometimes we need to release ourselves from the burden of shame and lock that bedroom door and eat our chocolate in peace. Because it’s cheaper than therapy.

Hi, I’m Dachelle. I’m a homeschooling mom of 3 in the South. I love chocolate and have been known to hide it from my children. I can often be found reading a good book (or even sometimes just an okay book) and enjoying a jar of Nutella — don’t judge. I blog, here, at HideTheChocolate.com when I’m not creating book clubs and making lists…lots and lots of lists (it’s an addiction). Learn more…
